At Evis Build, we realise that in order to move along the property ladder, most people’s first instinct is to purchase a home from an estate agent. However, building a new home for yourself is rapidly becoming more common with around 18,000 self-build projects completed each year. The primary reasons for undertaking a self-build are the significant cost savings, potential for tailoring the design to your needs, and the excitement that results in a huge sense of satisfaction and achievement.
Despite all the benefits of a self-build, the task itself can be incredibly daunting, time consuming and complicated with many people not knowing where to start. This is where we come in, with the right level of project management, cost control and construction experience, we make sure that building your own home is a perfectly feasible goal.
Level of involvement
Whatever size or style that your future home may be, we will not only build and fit-out your new home, but also manage every stage of the project. We aim to remove as much stress from you as we can and take on all the key risks in the project. However, we do appreciate that different people like to have varying levels of involvement in the process of building their new home, so we offer four procurement options.
Select each procurement option below to view the levels of responsibility we can take on your self-build project.
- Purchase a plot of land.
We take all of the stress and responsibility away:
- Design to your budget,

What we charge
Our initial meeting with you is free and is an opportunity for you to discuss your project with us and select which procurement option best suits you. Once you decide upon your level of involvement, we will provide you with a fixed price for the entire project and the work that we will be undertaking. As every project is different, we need to spend a significant amount of time to produce a fixed quote for all of the work that we will undertake. As a result, we have to charge you an upfront fee for this quote, which we call a Select Quote. However, should you accept this bespoke quote and instruct us as your builders, project managers and/or architects, you will be refunded the fee for forming the Select Quote.
When it comes to payment, we spread the cost of your project across its key stages, once we reach them, and set-up an automatic Standing Order between your bank and ours for payment to take place.
