We have taken modern ideas and processes which have been used in the commercial world for years, we have tweaked these to suit the private residential industry, and we apply these to every project that we work on. Fixed prices

When asked to quote a price for a project, whether it be for design work only, construction work only, or both, we do just that, quote. What we never do is commence work based on an estimate and then ask you for more money at a later stage because what we originally submitted was “only an estimate”. Our prices are fixed, and we promise that you will never be quoted any different to our previous clients for like-for-like projects. This means that we are not ‘one-of-those-companies’ who, prior to submitting a quote for a project, analyse your gullibility, size of your house and the type of vehicles parked in your driveway. No, we charge you what the project costs us and then add a fixed profit on-top. Admittedly, we would prefer not to have to charge a profit, but that would put us out of business very fast indeed!
Our philosophy has always been to compete on the quality of our service, workmanship and value for money, rather than concentrating solely on price. By no means can we guarantee our price to be the lowest, although it almost certainly will not be the highest, but we can guarantee that our quote will be the fairest and most realistic to complete your project on-time, to your expectations, and without asking for a penny more once we start work.

Every construction project has an estimated time-scale of how long it should take to complete. More often than not, time-scales are guesstimated and the project ends up overrunning, frustrating everybody involved. We are not one’s to guess or assume anything. At the commencement of every project, no matter how many projects of a similar nature we have already completed, we draw up a construction programme and provide you with an easy-to-understand copy. You then know what work will be undertaken each day and can plan your time around the more disruptive days when we inevitably have to be a little more noisy and/or messy.

The choice and quality of materials and fixtures, and manufacturers behind them, for each element of a project is bewildering. Take for example the various types of cavity wall insulation systems, the selection of silicones and sealants, the range of tile adhesives and the choice of uPVC windows. They all claim to have been manufactured for the same purpose but drastically range in quality and cost.
Knowing the cost vs quality balance of building materials and fixtures takes extensive amounts of research. Consequently, very few design and build companies have the expertise and/or time to research the specific differences of the materials and fixtures they install and the manufacturers behind them. The common solution to this minefield is to install the cheapest material available to the benefit of the design and build company’s profits.
This is what makes us different, we do not skimp on quality, we believe it is incredibly unwise for us to do so. We dedicate large amounts of resource to research the cost vs quality balance of every material and fixture that we specify and use this knowledge to provide you with exceptional value for money. We install materials or fixtures at the lower-end of the cost ladder which are of equal (or on some occasions, superior) quality to the materials or fixtures at the upper-end of the cost ladder, and we make sure to install more expensive materials or fixtures where the cheaper alternatives will significantly under-perform and/or carry a significant risk of deteriorating at an unacceptable rate.

We don’t like to be a nuisance, but the nature of our work will inevitably cause some inconvenience to your daily life. Although our first priority is to complete your project to the highest standard, our second priority is to minimise our presence as much as is feasible on you and your neighbours. We have a philosophy which says, “tidy site, tidy mind”, and we work hard to keep our working area as small as possible and to keep that as tidy as we can. We respect your home like we do our own and we cover and protect any furnishings and existing floors which are not being removed. At the end of each working day, we tidy up after ourselves, making sure not to leave any hazardous materials or tools in your way, and prepare the area for a fresh start in the morning.
We store all materials which our suppliers deliver to site in a manner as to least inconvenience you and your neighbours and make sure that everything is safe from harm at the end of each working day.

Our expertise in interior architecture and an eye for detail allows us to design your new space to suit you and your budget. We can be as creative and bold as you’d like us to be or as reserved as necessary whilst still accomplishing a design which is personal to you.
Despite designers often being branded as ‘unrealistic’ to the feasibility of their ideas and their client’s budgets, we do not follow this trend. Instead, we place a lot of though into the long-term practical elements of every design that we produce and advise where your money may be better spent or saved.

We sign a contract with you prior to starting any work and agree a payment schedule which we use to invoice you. Finally, we make sure that you are comfortable in the knowledge that the work will be completed to your expectations by asking you to retain a part of every invoice and only pay us this after we have completed the work and have left the site.
